Empathway Services is accepting applications for Child and Youth Workers in our Abbotsford and Mission Locations.

Position-

To perform day-to-day operations of the home including but not limited to; supporting planning, recreational, social, and/or educational activities, documentation, and to work collaboratively with the client (whenever possible) and other collaterals and professionals involved. Being a postive and active member of the care team for the child or youth. 

Understanding that this position is working with children and youth who have challenging behaviours and complex needs, which you will be dealing with crisis situations in the residence and community.

Applicants for this competition will work alternating days and evenings which will include weekdays and weekends

Scheduling is  subject to change based on the need of persons served. Support Staff range from 3 hours to 16 hours or as needed, with a maximum of 40 hours per week.  Relief on-call  shifts will be delegated by managemnt as needed 

Applicants will have training and experience to perform responsibilities in the job description

Experience working with children and youth with  high risk, challenging and complex behaviours in a residential setting would be ideal

An extensive screening process, including a criminal record check will be  needed for suitability of the position

A valid BC drivers license and in some cases use of own vehicle will be required

Full time employees are eligible for a medical and dental plan after a probationary period.
